We spend a lot of time in cars, indoors and on paved streets and sidewalks. It is always good, from time to time, to physically reconnect with our Mother Nature. The Earth & Sky
The Earth- literally the dirt and grass beneath your feet, holds and nurtures you like a mother. Physically reconnecting with Nature Earth helps strengthen your body and relax your mind. The delicious feel of the resilient ground & soft green grass poking through your toes stimulates you from head to toe. At the same time, you will feel a deep relaxation as your tension drains away.
The Sky- There is nothing more beautiful & inspiring than a clear, star-filled night sky. Take time to bask in its beauty and meditate on the vastness of the universe and your place in it.
Your busy life may keep you on a treadmill – running from work to home and back again. It is important to take a break and experience the awesome beauty of the night sky. Looking up, you will no doubt feel dwarfed by the magnificence and size of the universe. Faced with such an inconceivable vastness, your unpaid gas bill will not matter as much, your anxiety over work will fade and your body and mind will find much-needed relief from the push of everyday life. Next time the world seems to be too much for you, wait for the evening then look up at the sky. There is nothing that the world can do to compete. Submit to the moment and feel a part of the cosmos, and everything and everyone in it.

When to be done: Practice this meditation outdoors in pleasant weather whenever you are feeling especially disconnected, lonely or unloved.
Practice: Stretch out under the stars, Breathe deeply for a few minutes and get comfortable.
Allow yourself to fall into the night sky above you. Let whatever thoughts or emotions that emerge, enter your awareness and gently move on. Stay as long as you like.
Also enjoy the nurturing energy of Earth returning through your feet and up your legs and spine. Feel the energy as it flows through you, relaxing and rejuvenating your body and mind.
Enjoy this energy exchange for as long as you like. When you feel ready, stretch out on the grass. With arms and legs apart and rest.
